Our Elf on the shelf has worked somewhat around the Lucas household. Bradley just thinks he is funny. He doesn't really care what he stands for. In fact, when he does something he is more like let's tell Steve what Bradley did....not really the point but oh well!
I was getting ready this morning and Bradley was rearranging Laney's closet to his liking....but was real quiet. I walked in her room and asked what he was doing....
Me: "Bradley, where are you?"
Bradley: "hey mom!" "I'm up here!" "I'm Steve!"
He had climbed to the top of Laney's closet and was sitting on the edge just like Steve does. Scary but funny!
