As we, just Brad:), raked the yard all day the kids destroyed everything in the way. They took their Jeep and rammed it into our natural gas powered lamp post. They mowed it down and Brad had to cut the gas line. We called Duke Energy and they came out quickly so nothing would explode. Glass was everywhere. The gas smell was in the air. It was a mess and sort of scary but it didn't stop the Lucas children.
Just a few short hours later the kids plowed over the fire pit breaking it into a million pieces. Lastly, the fireplace cover inside was destroyed. We will have to replace that before we start a fire. I think the kids want to freeze this winter. Anything dealing with fire or gas was ruined.
This is also the exact reason we have nothing we would be devastated losing at our house. These things are bound to happen with three kids 5 and under and can be replaced. I just wish they would space things out a little more. :)
Needless to say,. it was an expensive weekend AT HOME!!!
